동티모르 GKS 동문회는 지난 3월 26일, 올해 첫 동문회를 Dili에 위치한 한국 대사관에서 개최했습니다. 동티모르 동문생 간의 네트워크를 구축하고, 현재와 앞으로의 새로운 동문들을 위한 환영식을 개최하는 것이며, 동문들끼리의 소식을 업데이트하고 공유하는 것이 동문회의 주된 목적이라고 합니다. 그리고 실행계획, 우선순위, 계획 조정 방안 등에 대한 회의를 진행하며 연간 계획을 수립하겠다고 언급했습니다. GKS 동티모르 동문회의 앞으로의 활동을 기대하겠습니다.

GKS’ East Timor Chapter held its first meeting of 2022 on March 26 in Dili at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste. The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen professional and social networking among GKS alumni in East Timor and host a welcome ceremony for incoming (and current) alumni. Participants also drew up a plan for the East Timor Chapter’s 2022 activities, with special attention given to differentiating between high- and low-priority activities. We look forward to future updates!

동티모르 동문회는 5월 7일 KOICA 사무실에서 글로벌 코리아 장학금 논문 공유 모임을 개최하였습니다. 총 4명의 졸업생(대학원 1명, 석사 2명, 박사 1명)이 발표했습니다. 이 행사는 국제 학생들이 각자의 논문을 통해 사회에 기여하는 방법을 공유했다는 점에서 의미 있는 행사였습니다.
발표 내용은 다음과 같습니다.

1. Aurélia Dias da Costa: 사회음성학
2. Olderico Silva: 고운 모래로 되메움하는 도누(Do-Nou) 다짐 공법 개발
3. Marito Ferreira: 30kW CVCF 인버터 기반 마이크로그리드 시스템의 과도 작동 특성
4. Sonia Simões: 동티모르 개발 지원 또는 사회적 불평등 악화에 관한 고등 교육 국제 장학금

Timor-Leste Alumni Association held a Global Korean Scholarship ​Thesis Sharing at KOICA's office on May 7. Total 4 alumni (1 graduate, 2 masters, 1 phD) gave the presentation. It was a meaningful event in that they shared how international students could contribute to society through their papers.
The presentation details are as follows.

2. Olderico Silva: Development of Compaction Method of Do-Nou Backfilled with Fine Sand
3. Marito Ferreira: Transient Operations Characteristics of 30kW CVCF Inverter-Based Micro-grid System
4. Sonia Simões: International Scholarship for Higher Education on Timor-Leste Aiding Development or Exacerbating Social Inequalities
