9월 2일 수요일, 한국-우간다의 문화 관계를 증진시키기 위한 지역사회 홍보 프로그램인 "헌혈 캠프"를 진행했습니다.
이번 행사는 주우간다 한국대사관과 NIIED Korea의 지원을 받아 GKS 동문회가 주관했습니다. 이번 행사는 우간다 적십자사, 우간다 혈액 수혈 서비스, 우간다 Heritage Organic Fresh 서비스 그리고 Children Alive Network-CAN과 함께 진행했으며, GKS는 COVID 19로 피해를 입은 어머니들과 아이들을 돕기위해 80명이 넘는 사람들로부터 68단위의 혈액을 채취하였습니다. GKS ALUMNI NETWORK Uganda는 앞으로도 한국과 우간다의 관계 증진을 위해서 기업의 사회적 책임을 가지고 다른 지역사회 홍보 프로그램을 추진할 예정입니다.
On Wednesday, September 2, a “Blood Donation Drive” was held as a local program to strengthen the cultural partnership between Korea and Uganda.
The event was hosted by the GKS Alumni Association, funded by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Uganda and the NIIED Korea, and jointly held in cooperation with the Uganda Red Cross Society, Uganda Blood Transfusion Services, Heritage Organic Fresh Supplies, and the Children Alive Network. At the blood drive, GKS oversaw the donation of 68 units of RBCs by over 80 people, who had volunteered to give blood to help women and children suffering from COVID-19. The GKS Alumni Association Uganda will continue to engage in local CSR and humanitarian efforts to strengthen the relationship between Korea and Uganda.
