우간다 GKS 동문회는 2023년 8월 15일, 10월 18일, 11월 15일에 캄팔라시의 마케레레 대학, 우간다 국립극장, 그리고 나키부보 및 부간다 로드 초등학교를 포함한 다양한 장소에서 행사를 마련했습니다.
행사는 존경하는 GKS 동문 및 외교 관계자를 포함한 200명 이상의 개인이 참석한 가운데 놀라운 성공을 거두었습니다.
이 행사에 참석한 모든 사람들은 모두 열정과 열의를 가지고 한국 문화와 언어의 활발한 홍보와 GKS의 장학 프로그램에 대한 정보 교환을 중심 등, 다양한 주제에 대하여 토론 하였습니다.
우간다 GKS 동문회는 봉사활동의 일환으로 마케레레 대학 학생들에게 기념품을 제공 하며 한국 문화와 교육 활동에 대한 유대감과 감사의 마음을 나누었습니다. 행사들의 하이라이트 중 하나로, 한국 영화 상영으로 참석자들이 한국의 풍부한 문화를 경험 할 수 있는 기회를 제공 하였습니다.
또한 한국인 교사가 파견중인 Nakivubo, Buganda Road Primary School 2개 학교에는 한국 새마을금고 중앙회에서 지원한 티셔츠, 에코백, 색연필 기부 및 현지 선생님들을 대상으로 GKS 동문회를 소개하는 시간도 가졌습니다.

The Uganda GKS Alumni Association organized events on August 15th, October 18th, and November 15th, 2023, at various locations including Makerere University, Uganda National Theater, and Nakivubo and Buganda Road Elementary School in Kampala city. These gatherings were a remarkable success, attended by more than 200 individuals, including esteemed GKS alumni and diplomatic officials.
The meetings centered on the vibrant promotion of Korean culture and language and valuable information about the prestigious GKS scholarship program. It was truly inspiring to witness the enthusiasm and engagement of everyone present as attendees delved into these important topics.
As part of the outreach efforts, souvenirs were generously distributed to Makerere University students, fostering a sense of connection and appreciation for Korean culture and education initiatives.
One of the highlights of the gatherings was the screening of captivating Korean films, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to immerse themselves in Korean cinema and gain insights into its rich cultural tapestry. Additionally, there was also a pleasure in introducing the GKS alumni association to teachers, donating T-shirts, eco-bags, and colored pencils supported by the Korea Federation of Community Credit Cooperatives to two schools, Nakivubo and Buganda Road Primary School, where two Korean teachers are dispatched.
