2026 Visiting Scholarship Counseling program(SNU)

The 2026 GKS Visiting Scholarship Counseling program at SNU event was successfully held at Seoul National University for students interested in the Global Korea Scholarship program. The session introduced studying in Korea, the GKS scholarship benefits, application procedures, TOPIK preparation, and the SNU GKS Student Association.

2026 Visiting Scholarship Counseling program(Hoseo)

The 2026 GKS Visiting Scholarship Counseling Session was successfully held at Hoseo University with international students and prospective applicants from Hoseo University, Paichai University, and Mokwon University. Participants received welcome gifts, joined program guidance sessions, and learned about GKS benefits and studying in Korea.

Jervian Johnson (Jamaica)

Jervian Johnson is a Chemical and Environmental Engineer from Jamaica and a professor in the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Technology, Jamaica. Through the GKS alumni interview, she shares her study experience in Korea, Korean language training at Kangwon National University, graduate study at Ajou University, and how the Global Korea Scholarship shaped her research, teaching, and entrepreneurship.
저비언 존슨은 자메이카 출신 화학·환경공학자로, 현재 University of Technology, Jamaica 화학공학과 교수로 재직하고 있습니다. GKS 동문 인터뷰를 통해 한국 유학 경험, 강원대학교 한국어 연수, 아주대학교 환경공학 석사 과정, 연구와 교육, 창업 경험을 나눕니다.

2026 GKS Farewell Party Video Contest

On August 27th, 2026, a GKS Farewell Party will be held for GKS scholars expected to graduate in August 2026. A memory recall contest invites students to share meaningful people, episodes from Korean life, study experiences, and unforgettable places through short vertical video submissions.
2026년 8월 27일, 2026년 8월 졸업 예정 GKS 장학생을 위한 졸업축하환송회가 개최됩니다. GKS 추억소환 영상 공모전은 한국 유학생활, 도움을 준 사람들, 기억에 남는 장소와 에피소드를 영상으로 공유하는 행사입니다.

The Mexico GKS Chapter alumni networking session was held on December 19, 2025 as an interactive platform for alumni introductions and scholarship experience sharing. The session welcomed people interested in studying in Korea and provided practical insights into the GKS program and life as an international student.
멕시코 GKS 동문 간담회는 2025년 12월 19일 개최되었으며, 동문 소개와 장학생 경험담 공유를 중심으로 한국 유학에 관심 있는 참가자들에게 열린 교류의 장을 제공했습니다.

Kyrgyz Republic GKS Chapter

The Kyrgyz Republic GKS Chapter highlights the 2026 Shkola Korean Speech Contest, held through collaboration between the Bishkek Korean Education Center and the GKS Alumni Association of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event promoted Korean language learning, cultural exchange, alumni networking, and friendship between Korea and Kyrgyzstan.
키르기즈공화국 GKS 동문회는 비슈켁한국교육원과 함께 2026년 쉬꼴라 한국어 말하기대회를 개최하여 한국어 학습, 문화 교류, 동문 네트워킹과 양국 우호 협력 증진에 기여했습니다.
